Barring salt, pepper, and a smidge of butter, the only ingredients in this wonderfully tasty and uber fast dish are shrimp and sweet chili sauce. To further enhance the convenience factor of this recipe, frozen shrimp can be used. Served with a side of noodles or rice, maybe even some sauteed vegetable thrown in, this is the definition of wholesome fast food.
The shrimps are flash-sauteed in some butter, before the sweet chili sauce is added on-fire and reduced from a sauce to a glaze.
1kg peeled and deveined shrimp
2-3 Tbsp butter
1/2 tsp salt & pepper
1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
In a large pan over medium high heat, saute the shrimp in the butter, seasoning lightly with salt and pepper, until slightly seared.
Add the sweet chili sauce and continue to saute until the sauce reduces to a glaze over the shrimp.
Serve immediately with some rice or noodles.
