16. Chocolate Covered Strawberries

This is all the craze recently, and it is as simple as dunking clean fresh strawberries in melted chocolate of your choice and setting it aside to allow the chocolate to set.
I add a tiny bit of butter to the chocolate before melting so the finished product has a nice gleam to it.

Of course, the chocolate must be melted in a bowl over steaming water, and not over direct heat.
Also, the strawberries must be at room temperature, cleaned, and dry.
You may set the strawberries on a clean sheet of foil, or alternatively you may poke the stem with a toothpick and after dunking, insert the other end of the toothpick in a stable penetrable surface and let the strawberries dry upside-down. This method will produce a more uniform coverage.
