199. Chicken Sandwich

Sometimes one really needs a break from cooking, frying, baking, sauteeing and the like.
This is where a well-stocked refrigerator and home-made staples make you feel really grateful.
In addition to the simple bread loaf I made yesterday, I found some overnight roasted chicken and roasted garlic in the refrigerator. So the only natural thing to do was to indulge in a sandwich!

This isn't a recipe as much as an idea, and I encourage you to go through your refrigerator and use what you have on hand.

Ingredients:

bread slices, toasted
roasted garlic cloves
mustard
left-over cooked chicken
tomato
lettuce
salt & pepper

Method:

Smear one of the toasted bread with the roasted garlic, and the other with mustard.
Tidy chicken slices over the garlic.
Then tomato slices over the chicken.
Season with salt and pepper.
Place a lettuce leaf over the tomato then seal the sandwich with the other bread slice, mustard side down.
Enjoy.
