1296. Tuna Baguette Sandwich

This is my favorite way to eat a tuna sandwich. It might not look like much, but some of the best things in life might not meet the artificial beauty scale of nowadays. It is quite simple, starting with a can of brined tuna, but the combination makes for a staple recipe.
Regardless, the bread medium is up to one's personal choice. I often make this just after a trip to the grocers since the crunch and pull you get from a freshly baked baguette is quite incomparable to that of toast. Feel free to add your personalized touches: fresh tomato and lettuce upon assembly, canned corn or beans in the mixture, etc.

Ingredients:

1 can tuna in water, drained
2 Tbsp finely chopped onion
1 Tbsp finely chopped pickles or capers
1 Tbsp finely chopped fresh herbs
1 tsp dijon mustard
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tsp lemon juice
hotsauce, optional
1/4 tsp salt & pepper
1 baguette

Method:

Mash everything with a fork in a bowl until homogenized.
Cut baguette in half, and spread the tuna mixture in the bread.
