I had every intention to make a caramel apple dip from scratch, yet alas convenience superseded and here comes a cheat's post that just might change your snack or dessert routine.
Caramel and fresh apples are a great combo. Upgrade to salted caramel, and you've got yourself a gold star ingredient. Usually tart green granny smith apples are recommended for this dip, as they are less sweet and more sour than red apples, but that is a matter of taste.
