1537. Fried Cauliflower and Tahini Dip

As simple as it gets, this fried cauliflower appetizer is just exactly that: fried cauliflower. Unlike raw or steamed, fried cauliflower is mellow, nutty, and a tiny bit sweet. A real treat. The tahini dip is the perfect side for me mimicking typical Arab food flavors, but you can equally enjoy it with some fresh lemon wedges squeezed over.

Ingredients:

2 cauliflower heads
oil, to fry

For the dip:
6 Tbsp yogurt
2 Tbsp tahini
2 lemon, juice
1 tsp salt

Method:

Separate the cauliflower heads into bite-sized florettes. Fry in hot oil to a golden brown. Let drain from excess oil on kitchen paper towels.
Meanwhile, prepare the dip by blending/whisking all the dip ingredients together.
Serve warm.
