1555. Express Paratha Fateer


Express, because a ready-made frozen paratha bread is used to make this fateer. The filling also could not get easier: crumbled feta cheese. A two-ingredients delight. 
As usual, this does leave room for interpretation: add chopped herbs to the cheese. Or use a mix of cheeses. Want a less rustic look? Brush it with egg before baking.



Ingredients:

5 frozen paratha (unbaked)
2 cups mixed cheese
extra flour, for handling 





Method:

Flour a clean surface generously with flour. Place the defrosted paratha on the flour, and sprinkle the top with more flour. Roll the paratha until this is doubled in length, like a long oval.
Cut the oval in half, and line some filling along the long cut side of both halves. Roll the filling securely in the dough to get a long snake, then coil it into a flat spiral. Repeat for a total of ten fateers made from five parathas.
Place all the fateers on a baking dish and bake in a preheated 400F oven for 12-15 minutes.
Serve warm or at room temperature.
