1585. Everyday Marble Cake

To be honest, I was not going to put this cake on MCW, but someone special asked me to, so here it is. I'm not sure if you've noticed, but I have an unbeatable basic cake recipe that I keep re-purposing for different flavors. There is the orange cake (by and far the most loved), then there is the cardamom. A toffee cinnamon is coming up soon, and then here is this marble cake frosted with nutella.
You may call it the MCW 1-2-3-4 cake. 1 cup of oil, 2 cups of sugar, 3 cups of flour, and 4 eggs. A couple dashes of this and that in between, and you've got yourself an MCW 1-2-3-4 cake.

Ingredients:

1 cup oil
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 cup milk
2 Tbsp cocoa
1 cup nutella, to frost

Method:

In a food processor, blitz together the oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until pale yellow.
Sift in the flour and baking powder, blitz again just for 10-15 seconds until barely combined. Add the milk and blitz until homogenous, just a few seconds more. If you will over mix, the cake will turn out tough like bread. Pour half of the batter in a buttered and floured bundt cake tin. Sift in the cocoa over the remaining batter and mix to incorporate. Pour the chocolate batter over the vanilla batter. Using a blunt knife, make coarse swirls in the batter to marble it.
Bake at 365F for 50-55 minutes. Frost with the nutella when cooled.
