1755. Zaatar Saj Scrolls



I realize that there might be multiple versions of zaatar bread recipes on this blog, but we love the combination that much so it is absolutely a delight when a new way is discovered to present it. 
Today's feature uses the paper-thin saj bread, cut up into strips, brushed generously with the classic olive oil and zaatar combo, rolled up loosely and baked to a flakey, crunchy, crispy finish.



Ingredients:

3-4 saj bread
1/2 cup zaatar mix
3/4 cup olive oil



Method:

Cut the bread into 2-inch wide strips, and 4-inches long.
Mix the zaatar and olive oil to a runny mixture.
Brush the strips of bread with the zaatar, the roll up into very loose scrolls.
Arrange in single layer in a rimmed oven dish.
Bake in preheated 360F oven for about 20 minutes until crispy golden.
Serve cooled with a side of lebna dip.
