This sandwich is a French classic, and you can pretty much substitute the type of meat and cheese for anything you like in it.
I used:
soft butter
salt & pepper
turkey slices
sliced emmental cheese
cornichons
and lettuce.
Cut bread buns in half and smear with butter. Salt and pepper.
Arrange the turkey, cheese, cornichons, and lettuce inside.
Best consumed immediately.
