1869. Sweet Chilli Wings {Airfryer}


These sticky-sweet-savory-spicy chicken wings are cooked in the airfryer until crispy then tossed in an irresistible sticky sauce with burst of tang and a hint of sweetness. They make the perfect side dish or turn them into a complete meal and serve over a bed of jasmine rice!



Ingredients:

For the chicken:
600g chicken wings/drumettes
1 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp paprika
1 Tbsp cornflour

For the sauce:
1/3 cup sweet chilli sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp honey
1/2 tsp minced garlic
1/2 tsp minced ginger
Juice of one lime



Method:

First pat dry the chicken, add the salt, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cornflour. Mix well to coat. Place in the airfryer basket skin side facing up and air-fry at 200C for 15 minutes, turn the wings and air-fry for a further 15 minutes until crispy.
While the wings are cooking, make the sauce by combining the sweet chilli sauce with soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, lime juice, honey. Whisk well.
Toss the crispy wings into the sweet chilli dressing until well coated. Serve with extra sweet chilli sauce and garnish with spring onions.
Can also be served over steamed basmati & stone greens to make a complete meal.
