1504. Lebanese Potato Salad

This is a Lebanese potato salad that is so creamy from the sour cream with the best hit of tang from vinegar and pickles, that it deserved adding another potato salad to the blog. Whole grain mustard also add to the flavor profile, and being Lebanese, it has to have a generous addition of chopped fresh herbs.

1503. Breakfast Folded Sandwich

This folded wrap/tortilla sandwich exploded all over social media as the newest and must-try trend. The best part about it as that it is completely and utterly customizable; savory or sweet, Western or Eastern, breakfast or lunch, it really doesn't matter.

1502. Lemon Cream Tart

Only the crust is baked in this lemon cream tart. The filling is cooked stove top, and an overnight refrigeration stint is required. For intense lemon affectionados, be aware that this is a mild lemon tart, not a lip-puckering sour one.

1501. Parmesan Burger

I realize the average person may not need so many burger recipes (see roquefort and chilli-cheese versions), and that a well-made simple burger would certainly suffice, but the burger business is booming and the options are endless. This burger is pretty much near perfect, with 20% fat mince and a ton and a half of freshly grated parmesan cheese, it only gets better with another ton of carmelized onions.

1500. Chocoberry Bites

These delicate and delicious chocoberry bites are an improved version of these chocolate berry cups. Removing the whipped cream and using pure unadulterated dulce de leche, the ingredients list comes to a grand total of three. Without exaggeration, these bites are even better than a chocolate bar, especially when left out at room temperature for a while.

Best of MCW 801-900

This is the ninth Best Of MCW compilation, and while it might initially seem weird that there are technically only four main dishes featured, it will all make sense when you see the appetizers, sides, and desserts.

1498. Two-Ingredient Tomato Sauce (No Cook)

I think this is a recipe worthy of the tag "genius recipe". Barring salt, all you need are tomatoes and butter. The result is a fluffy pale orange cloud bursting with tomato flavor ready to melt and sheen over anything hot.

1497. Molten Chocolate Pie

This is a baked chocolate pie with a crackle top and a molten middle that is much easier to make than expected. Be warned, it is a heavy dessert, one for serious chocolate lovers. I highly recommend serving with a side of unsweetened whipped cream.

1496. Olive Dressed Lebna

America might have caused a hubbub that brought dips on the radar, but none can beat the pre-existence and continuity of an Arab breakfast. Mezze style is favored because it optimized having a taste form many different things. A common staple in a mezze-style Arabic breakfast is lebne.

1495. Sourdough Crackers

I have been experimenting around with harvesting wild yeast and making sourdough bread. Success in wild yeast harvest, but unfortunately the sourdough bread making is not yet a success. The upside is that the sourdough starter, that which harvests the wild yeast, can be used in many recipes successfully regardless of sourdough bread making. I now find myself feeding the starter and cultivating it just to make varied flavors of these wonderful crackers.

1494. Honey Mustard Chicken Salad

With roasted pumpkin and beetroot, this salad definitely has a winter vibe. It can even be considered a meal, since it has added heft from grilled chicken, walnuts, and avocado. The honey mustard dressing gives it a diner-like quality.

1493. Kubba Niya

I surprised myself with this one. I have enjoyed the occasional carpaccio, so it is an eyebrow-raiser that raw kubba (kibbe niya) intimidated me. But once I saw it combined with tabboula and fried potato sticks in a tiny bread wrap, I knew it was something I could conquer.

1492. Dressed Lentil Soup

Soup is the ultimate comfort dish in times of sickness or seasonal cold weather. I have revamped my trusty red lentil soup recipe to include dressings like at a restaurant (did not change one thing from the original recipe as it is perfect).
