America might have caused a hubbub that brought dips on the radar, but none can beat the pre-existence and continuity of an Arab breakfast. Mezze style is favored because it optimized having a taste form many different things. A common staple in a mezze-style Arabic breakfast is lebne.Dressed simply with olive oil and scooped with some bread is great enough as the original. With time, people have come to "dress" their lebna. Zaatar is by far the most common dresser. With the culinary boom happening, the sky is your limit in dressing your lebne.
Ingredients:
1 cup Turkish lebne
8 pitted black olives, chopped
8 pitted green olives, chopped
1 Tbsp zaatar mix
2 tsp sumac
1 Tbsp pomegranate molasses
fresh pomegranate seeds, optional
walnut, rough chop, optional
Method:
Spread your lebna in the serving bowl.
Dress the lebne with all the remaining ingredients, ending with a generous drizzle of olive oil.
Serve with fresh warm bread and steaming sweet tea for the optimal experience.
