Nothing beats a classic, but sometimes change is fun and also welcome. This pistachio tiramisu gets its flavor from pistachio cream, and does not overwhelm the flavor of coffee.
Very simple and straightforward to make.
Ingredients:
250g mascarpone cheese
2 Tbsp sweet condensed milk
3 Tbsp pistachio cream
300g sponge fingers
Coffee mixture:
1 espresso
1 tsp sweet condensed milk
1 tsp pistachio cream
Method:
Whip the cream, mascarpone, sweet condensed milk, and pistachio cream until thick and spreadable. In a separate wide rimmed bowl, mix a cup of diluted chilled espresso mixed with a teaspoon each of sweet condensed milk and pistachio cream.
To assemble, spread a thin layer of the cream. Top with a single layer of biscuits briefly dunked in the coffee mixture, spread half the cream, and repeat ending with a last layer of the cream. refrigerate overnight, decorate as desired, serve chilled.
