If you are on a diet, there will come a time when you crave something that will utterly demolish all your restraint and efforts, ending up back at ground zero.
This chocolate chia seed pudding lets you have your craving, without the demolishing of efforts part.
The key is planning ahead.
One day for soaking, then the next day the mixture is blended in a high-power blender, then set to rest overnight again.
This dessert is healthy, satisfies any dieter's craving, and is easy to make.
I got about 8 shot glasses worth of pudding.
The recipe can be turned vegan by using a nut milk for the pudding and whipped coconut cream for the topping.
Note: a high powdered blender is needed, otherwise your blender just might break tackling this chia pudding!
1/3 cup chia seeds
1 cup milk (or other non-dairy for vegan)
2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
2 Tbsp. honey
pinch of chilli powder(optional)
Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl.
Cover and refrigerate overnight or at least 8 hours.
Transfer mixture to a high powered blender and blend until completely smooth.
If pudding is warm from blending, return to refrigerator until chilled.
