This has got to be one of the simplest and tastiest chicken burgers around.
You seriously can not get any easier than this.
Minus the condiments, this is a two-ingredient chicken burger: chicken and green onions, flavored with tabasco hotsauce and salt&pepper!
Pop the cooked patties in a bun with whatever you like, and you're done!
I have tried these with the usual tomato and lettuce, and another time with goat cheese. They were magnificent.
I don't use pre-ground chicken, I simply pulse coarsely in the food processor.
From Gaby.
Ingredients:
450g Chicken
2 green onions, thinly sliced
10 dashes Tabasco or hotsauce, plus more as needed
1 Tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp salt and pepper
To assemble you’ll need: Buns, Lettuce and Tomatoes
Method:
In a bowl, combine the ground chicken green onions and Tabasco.
Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
Using your hands, gently mix all the ingredients together until they are evenly combine and then divide the mixture into 4 equal sections.
Form 4 patties of equal size with your hands and then set aside.
Heat a large heavy bottom skillet over medium high heat.
Cook the burgers for 4-5 minutes on one side, and then carefully flip and continue to cook for about 3-4 minutes more on the other.
When the burgers are almost done, give them an extra dash or two of Tabasco and then remove them from the heat.
Pile the burgers up on a bun and serve.
