Admittedly not the healthiest thing out there, these home made cheese fries still beat any cinematic cheese nachos out there in terms of chemicals and preservatives. All you need are two clean ingredients: cheddar cheese and cream.
Because the ingredients are so clean and basic, the sauce will naturally congeal upon cooking, unlike the chemical-laden cinema version which stays liquid and pourable for a year sitting on the shelf. Refrigerate any extra sauce for up to a week and reheat just before use.
Ingredients:
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup shredded cheddar
Fries
Method:
In a pan, heat together the shredded cheese and the cream until melted and incorporated.
Drizzle the hot cheese sauce over freshly-fried fried and serve immediately.
