1388. Kit Kat Kunafa

While kunafa is generally available all year long, its sales really peak during the holy month of Ramadan. There are the classics, which are unbeatable (the goat cheese rough kunafa is my favorite), and there are limitless innovative modern reiterations. Such is this kit kat version.
A recipe is expected to have quantities, so a recipe without quantities is a... non-recipe? But truly this is so easy you don't need a recipe once you get the idea.

Ingredients:

Kunafa dough threads
Kit Kat sticks
Qishta
Butter
Sugar syrup

Method:

Lay a thin layer of kunafa dough across a clean surface. Its width should be about the length of a thumb. Break a stick of kitkat in half and place the two halves side by side on the end of the long sheet of dough.
Please a teaspoon of qishta on top the kit kat. Start to roll the dough to enclose the stuffing.
Snuggle into a pyrex dish of convenient size to the quantity you are making.
Bake in a preheated 350F oven for 30-35 minutes until starting to get golden, the broil the surface for a minute or less to make it golden.
As soon as it is out of the oven pour over the cold sugar syrup.
Serve warm or room temperature.

صحة و عافية
