Not too long ago, I made a berry custard toast. This is one of those "internet recipes" which trend and blow up on social media. It was very successful, and surprisingly wholesome. Today, we reuse the recipe but swap the raspberries for dates, generating an entirely new flavor profile.
Dates are very recommended for consumption in the morning, as they are energy powerhouses. Combined with the magic mixture of greek yogurt, egg, and honey, you've got a nutritious breakfast ready to go.3-4 slices toast
3 Tbsp greek yogurt
1 egg
2 tsp honey
3-4 dates
Method:
In a bowl, stir together the yogurt, honey, and egg.
Using your fingers, press into the center of each slice of bread to create an indent. Go right up to the borders, staying about one centimeter away.
Spoon the custard mixture into the indent, and add the chopped dates.
Cook in a 350F airfryer for 8-10 minutes, until the custard is set.
