This is another chicken-sage combo, but so very different than the roasted sage chicken!
Only three ingredients are assembled and seared in a little oil to created this easy quick lunch or dinner chicken.
This recipe is from Everyday Food, and when accompanied by a salad or some vegetables, makes satisfying meal for children and adults alike.
Ingredients:
9 fresh sage leaves
9 chicken tenders (or 3 chicken breasts cut into 3 strips each)
9 slices turkey bacon
1/2 teaspoon olive oil
Method:
Place a sage leaf on each chicken tender, then wrap each with a bacon slice.
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high. Add tenders, sage side down, and cook until fat is rendered and bacon is browned, about 6 minutes.
Flip and cook until tenders are cooked through, 6 minutes.
With tongs, transfer to a plate with paper towel to drain.
