Yemen Is Being Starved

It is a rare event when I choose to diverge from the raison d'être of this blog and talk about something else. In this world where the mentality of "dog eats dog" prevails, it is rendered difficult to associate with and practice a fundamental concept in Islam, that all Muslims are brethren. Our brethren in Yemen are being starved for months now. Yes, Yemen is being starved, and not Yemen is starving, because the starvation is a calculated and intentional act performed by power-hungry men in suits and their vapid racketeering puppets barely qualifying as humans with an agenda.
It is so dire, that 80% of the Yemeni population is expected to be wiped out through starvation. There are not enough corpse shrouds to bury each person in the dignity prescribed in Islam. For such a lush land of wild beauty and bounty, it is ludicrous to be told they just happen to be starving. Millions of people are affected, and the children impacted should make us all stand and protest in fury as these are our children dying, deprived of basic Muslim rights, and those few who may survive will be an entire generation lost with no education as a means to elevate themselves, their families, and their country to a better future. We wouldn't hear the end of the Jewish holocaust; Hollywood is producing movies about it endlessly to this day and will continue to do so well into the future. The world still rides a high wave over the despicable George Floyd murder and managed to put aside their differences to unite for a common cause. But millions of Muslim Yemenis being starved in a world of plenty where no human or animal is justified in lacking nutrition is unworthy of media coverage. The frustrating feeling of helplessness bringing on the question "but what can I do?" is a common reaction to such circumstances. The answer is pray. Keep them in your prayers, and ask Allah Almighty to expose the oppressors and bring victory to Islam, the ultimate humanitarian defender.

Salam alaikum dear sister,

SubhanAllah, upon reading this I had to shamefully admit to myself that I didn't even know about this situation.
It really brings tears to the eyes.
Thank you for bringing this to the attention of your readers. May Allah accept out sincere Dua for the population of Yemen Amin
