Weekend breakfast, get prepared. This is an absolute simplistic way to have fun with your weekend eggs. Of course, any type of bread can be used, and the soft toast variety is an especially popular choice. We at MCW are having our sourdough bread moment, so we went that route instead.
Butter up a pan, cut a hole in your bread, put it in the pan. Crack in it the egg, cook, flip, cook. There you have it; egg in a hole.
Ingredients: serves one
1 slice toast of choice
1 egg
pat of butter
salt
Method:
Butter your toast on both sides. Cut a hole in the middle of the toast.
Heat the pan over medium heat. Put your toast in the hot pan.
Crack an egg in the hold of the toast. Allow to cook for a bit before flipping over and cooking the other side. When both sides are cooked to liking, serve immediately.
