1588. Banana Brulee Oats


Another loaded breakfast oat bowl, but with a drastically different flavor profile. The basic oat mix is topped with chopped almonds, a dollop of cream, almond butter, and the piece de resistance: seared bananas and chocolate drizzle.  
You will have a hard time believing this is actually healthy and not a decadent treat.



Ingredientsserves one

1/3 cup oats
2/3 cup water
1 tsp thick cream
1 tsp almond butter
1 tsp chocolate spread
5 almonds, chopped
1/2 banana



Method:

Cut the half banana in half lengthwise. Sear it on both sides in a teaspoon of butter. 
Stir the oats and the water together and either cook stove top on in the microwave until thickened to porridge consistency.
Scrape the cooked oats in a serving bowl and top with all the toppings: thick cream, almond butter, chopped almonds, seared banana, and drizzle with the chocolate spread.
Serve immediately.
