Affogato is a fancy Italian dessert that is not fancy at all. All it is, is vanilla ice cream, with a shot of espresso. A two ingredient dessert assembled in a minute. As with all minimal ingredient recipes, using high quality products makes all the difference.
If you don't have a coffee machine, just make coffee your usual way and pour it over your ice cream.
Ingredients: serves 1
1-2 balls of vanilla ice cream
1 shot of espresso
Method:
Scoop the ice cream in a cup and pour a freshly brewed shot of espresso over it. Consume with a spoon, enjoying parts of the still-frozen ice cream, and the merged melted ice cream in the coffee together.
