This is a quick and nutritious meal that can easily be made for one as it can be for the entire family. To be honest, the discovery of Japanese furikake just tipped the dish into excellence, but it is a solid and nutritious meal even without it.
The salmon is cut into cubes and coated in a simple yet effective Asian-inspired marinade before cooking to perfect sticky, glazed, and charred perfection in the airfryer. A side of jasmine rice topped with furikake and some sauteed broccoli (a completely different species from steamed broccoli) seals the deal.
Ingredients:
1 salmon fillet
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp honey
1 tsp sesame oil
1 garlic, grated
1/4 tsp powder ginger
1/2 cup cooked jasmin rice
1 cup seared broccoli
1 sachet furikake, optional
Method:
Cut the fillet into 2cm cubes and place in a bowl. Add to the bowl the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, grated garlic, and powder ginger. Toss to coat evenly. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes in an airfryer until cooked through and glazed and charred lightly in places.
Serve alongside some hot jasmine rice topped with furikake and sauteed broccoli.
