Tiramisu is almost like pasta: a dish with endless variations. This version adds a shot of hazelnut butter for a kind of kinder bueno flavor profile. Go strong on the coffee to balance out the sweetness of the rest as the nut paste usually comes sweetened.
Ingredients:
1 packet lady finger biscuits
600ml whipping cream
250g mascarpone cream
200g hazelnut paste
3 Tbsp powder sugar
1 tsp vanilla
500ml espresso
Cocoa powder, for dusting
Method:
In a bowl, whip together until thick the cream, mascarpone, hazelnut pasta, powder sugar, and vanilla until thick. Dunk the biscuits, one by one in the espresso and arrange in a single layer in a rimmed serving dish. Cover with half the filling. Repeat with the remaining biscuit and filling. Finish off with a heavy dusting of cocoa powder. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Serve chilled.
