Ingredients:
1 baguette, sliced thin
500g merguez sausage, raw
200g cream cheese
1 cup freshly grated parmesan
salt and pepper
Method:
Remove the merguez meat from the casings and put in a bowl; discard the casings. Add the cream cheese and parmesan, mix well into a paste, seasoning lightly with salt and pepper. Using a butter knife, spread a medium layer of the paste onto the thinly cut baguette slices. Top with extra parmesan if desired. Bake in a preheated 350F oven for about 15 minutes, until golden brown and the meat is cooked through. Serve warm.
