Great for breakfast or a light meal, these zaatar-crusted pan-fried haloomi slices can top an avocado toast for an even better experience.
The haloomi is rather thickly slices then drizzled with olive oil and zaatar blend. A small frying stint in the pan to generate a golden crust and molten interior, and you're all set.
Ingredients:
1 block haloomi
1-2 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp zaatar blend
Method:
Slice the block of haloomi into generously thick slices (6 to 8 slices per block).
Drizzle the slices with olive oil and sprinkle with zaatar. Place in a medium-hot pan, zaatar-side down, and sear until golden. Flip to sear the other side too. Serve still warm with some bread or as a topping to avocado toast.
