1619. Salted Chocolate Almonds


Shock and horror, my favorite chocolate is milk chocolate, and followed by, even worse, white chocolate. Having said that, dark chocolate sits really well in these salted chocolate almonds, sort of making it an accidentally healthy treat. 
You can keep the almonds raw, I just opted to lightly roast them for added flavor. Key word: lightly roasted. Be careful to not over-roast them and ruin them with an overly bitter taste.



Ingredients:

1 cup almonds, raw or lightly roasted
100g dark chocolate
generous pinch of salt




Method:

If roasting the almonds, make sure to fully cool before coating in chocolate.
Melt the chocolate in the microwave or over simmering water. Add a three-finger pinch of salt to the chocolate and stir. Drop in the almonds and stir to coat.
Using two forks, remove each almond one by one and place on a waxed sheet.
Let set until firm before serving.
