1951. Chewey Chocolate Chip Cookies

Unlike the Matilda chocolate cake in the last post, these chewey chocolate chip cookies don't require any prep at all and can be made at the notice of a drop of a hat. Depending fully on pantry staples, the result not only satisfies the hanker for cookies, but yields a result so pleasing that you will intentionally make them again, and again.

Ingredients:

100g melted butter
½ cup sugar
½ cup brown sugar
1 egg
vanilla
1 ¼ cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
sprinkle salt
1 cup chocolate chips

Method:

Mix the sugars and melted butter together. Whisk in the egg and vanilla. Add the flour, baking soda, and salt and mix until just incorporated. Stir in the chocolate chips.
Form 24 balls from the dough and place on a lined baking sheet.
Bake in a preheated 350F for 8 to 10 minutes maximum. Remove from baking sheets only after cooled so they won't break apart.
